15 May New Course Added for Personal Chefs
Recently, the ACF updated the mandatory requirements for Personal Chefs. This mandatory requirement was updated for both the PCC Designation (Personal Certified Chef) and the PCEC Designation (Personal Certified Executive Chef). Therefore, 123ce has freshened up our course menu to help chefs easily fulfill the ACF certification requirements. Providing the mandatory 30-hour courses necessary to move to the Personal Certified Chef level or the Personal Certified Executive Chef level.
To become a Personal Certified Chef a student needs to have 3 years experience as an entry level culinarian plus one year as a full-time Personal Chef. Furthermore, experience must be within the past 10 years.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED plus 50 hours of continuing education. Find CEH Courses here
- If you do not have a high school diploma/GED 150 hours of continuing education are required. Find CEH Courses here
- In addition to the requirements listed above, you must provide documentation of three 30-hour courses—one in Nutrition, one in Food Safety and Sanitation, and one in Business Management. If these courses were taken more than five years ago, an eight hour refresher course is required in each topic.

Personal Certified Executive Chef
To become a Personal Certified Executive Chef a student needs to have 3 years as a full-time Personal Chef engaged in all aspects of food preparation and management. Experience must be within the past 10 years.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED plus 150 hours of continuing education. Find CEH Courses here
- If you do not have a high school diploma/GED, 250 hours of continuing education are required. Find CEH Courses here
- In addition to the requirements listed above, you must provide documentation of three 30-hour courses in Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation, and Business Management. If these courses were taken more than 5 years ago, you must take the 8-hour refresher courses.
