Academic Information
The academic success of our students is very important to everyone at 123ce.com. We provide easy access to all of the information you need to make an informed decision when working towards gaining or maintaining your professional certification.

ADMISSIONS POLICY

123ce.com offers open-admission, created for and serving self-directed adult learners who are seeking to acquire professional certification and continuing education hours online. Students best served by online education are self-motivated learners who have generally, though not exclusively, earned at least a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Applicants are expected to be at least 18 years of age and fluent in English.

123ce.com does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap in admission to, access to, treatment in, or employment in its programs and activities.

COURSE DURATION

The time limit for course completion is six (6) months from the enrollment date or one (1) year for 50 – hour business courses. Student service, examination correction, etc., ceases upon the expiration date of an enrollment.

EXAMS & GRADING

Students are evaluated on the basis of lesson examinations. 123ce courses are very much like their classroom counterparts, except students are not evaluated on how well they compare with other students, but on how well they perform in terms of the learning objectives.

Examinations should be completed on a timely basis. Students may study at their own pace but they are expected to complete all of the course work in six (6) months or one (1) year for 50 – hour business courses. Most students finish their course in one month or less.

After completing an exam, an electronic Grade Report will indicate the correct answer and reference page for any questions marked as incorrect. All examinations are scored on a straight numerical basis. Once a student has completed all course requirements, the final grade is determined by the average of exam grades.

Students who receive 69% or lower on a test may elect to retest. A new test will be available online automatically with any failed exam. 123ce’s policy is that any student who passes a retest may not score higher than 70%, no matter what score they received on the retest. Students who fail to achieve a minimum passing grade (70%) on a retest will receive the higher of the two failing grades they earned, which is calculated into the final average. No further retesting is available.

GRADUATION DOCUMENTS

Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of a course (70% or higher), the student receives a Certificate of Completion through their online student account. If a student enrolls in more than one course, the student receives a Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of each course.

Accuracy of Student Records
123ce.com complies fully with the Family Education and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. This act is designed to protect the privacy of educational records, to establish the rights of students to inspect and review their educational records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through informal and formal hearings.

A student who believes that an error has been made in assessment of a grade must initiate contact with 123ce within 30 days from the date the grade was posted. Failure to act within 30 days disqualifies the student from further consideration of the matter.

The student is responsible for reporting any other type of error on their Certificate of Completion, including correct spelling of the student’s name and address. 123ce.com is not liable for unreported errors on student records.

STUDY MATERIALS

At the heart of your learning experience is the 123ce.com Study/Learning Guide. These guides are designed specifically for independent study. For courses of 10 hours or more, the Study Guide is used in conjunction with an e-book. 123ce.com courses that are less than ten hours include a Learning Guide and do not require an e-book.

The Study and Learning Guides take the place of weekly classroom lectures and explain in detail what students are expected to master or understand. They provide the steps needed in order to learn the subject material along with determining how well students are progressing. Students work through these Guides and complete assignments at their own pace. Multiple choice exams serve as the means of evaluating student comprehension.

All study materials will be found in your Online Student Center account.
